Thoughts That Bind

I welcome you to pause and ask yourself just what specifically it is you desire, not what you believe you should want
How Would My Life Change

Do you know someone that has a dream and yet makes no change in their life?  How about that friend or relative that cycles through self-doubt, self-depredation, or self-neglect? Have you, or this someone you know, cycled through thoughts such as:

“I’d really like to do that but I’m too tired.”

If your energy were limitless, what would you choose to do?

“I’m concerned about what might happen, what-if…”

Can you imagine knowing what you want and going for it?

“I have no energy, sick often, and just can’t get to a place of health.”

How would your life change if you were able to have your body function at its peak- getting the most out of what you eat, having good quality sleep, and enjoying life?

Interestingly, in these examples, you clearly know what you do not want and yet have little or no idea of what you do want. For many, you may not realize that your thoughts and your actions are in conflict with your desires and the results you are seeing are confirming your thinking. You believe that you are in control of what you think and how you feel and still find yourself stuck.

According to cognitive neuroscientists, your conscious thoughts consists of only about 5% of your cognitive activity. This means that most of your decisions, actions, emotions, and behavior depends on the 95% that is beyond your conscious awareness.

Your subconscious mind is running the show.

Your values, beliefs, and norms all lie in your subconscious and were linguistically created by your environment with 90% of your “programming” complete by the age 7.

Linguistically programmed!

This is actually good news, because you can linguistically re-route your values, beliefs, and norms to align with your desired outcome and change your life right now.

The key is to become aware of the conversation your subconscious is having with you. Learn how to recognize desired vs non-desired language. Then re-frame the discussion, release negativity, and believe the desired results are true.

Does this take work? Yes.

Does this take time? Somewhat.

Is this something I can do? Absolutely!

I welcome you to pause and ask yourself just what specifically it is you desire, not what you believe you should want.

I invite you to explore the possibilities of how your life can change with some simple tools and techniques for consciously re-framing your subconscious and consciously changing how you are able to nourish your mind, body, and soul.
