I’m Doing Just Fine, Thank You.

Curiosity about who I am, what my purpose is, and why I choose the things that I do has been a conscious journey for me since the age of 13. It started with questioning various religions and investigating the commonalities and the differentiators that made sense. This inquisitiveness then grew into a journey of self-discovery and self-development that includes actions such as education, meditation, and introspection. In fact, there has not been a year in my life that did not include some form of training or education in order to become even better than I am in this moment.

For many of you the journey of self-improvement is not foremost on your mind and for others it means getting more of. More money, more things, more power and is based on the belief that these things bring status and therefor happiness. I ask you to put your beliefs aside for just a moment and consider this.

Personal growth is an exploration of the deepest realm. With each discovery and shift in your perspective, a new you will emerge, and even greater discoveries unfold. You begin to understand who you are, your core values, your gifts, your core characteristics, your strengths, your weaknesses, your purpose and so much more. It provides you your blueprint for choices, your map for directions, and your guidelines for bringing value that is yours specifically in this lifetime. When you become the best version of you possible, then the “things” reflecting that reality naturally appear. The unique you becomes known and your relationship with others takes on new meaning.

While you take a moment and consider this, go ahead and embrace the idea that there is always something to learn. There is always someone you can learn from. There is always a moment that can be looked at differently. You have the ability to become empowered with the understanding of who you are. You have the right to develop more confidence, to become more mindful, to be even more conscious of how to make choices that are perfect for you.

If not now, when?

Choose consciousness or not. Either way, you have chosen.
